Functional neurosurgery

Our service treats movement disorders associated pain including:

  • deep brain stimulation for tremor, dystonia and Parkinson’s disease
  • deep brain stimulation and motor cortex stimulation for central deafferentiation pain (e.g. post-stroke pain, neuropathic facial pain or phantom limb pain)
  • peripheral nerve stimulation for peripheral neuropathic pain
  • deep brain stimulation programming clinics

We also operate on patients with pain syndromes and peripheral nerves.
