We’re making a small increase in the cost to park at our hospitals from Friday 1 March 2024 – bringing our charges in line with other local car parks.

This will help prevent people using our hospitals as a cheaper option to park – keeping spaces free for those who are visiting our hospitals and reducing congestion around our sites.

For those visiting for an hour, the cost will rise from £1.20 to £1.60, while visitors on site for two to three hours will pay £4.80 rather than £3.60.

We are not increasing long-stay rates, which will help staff who use our car parks during long shifts. A tale with the full list of charges can be found below.

Parking costs have not changed in over five years and recently we have seen an increased number of people using our car parks during the day who are not coming to our hospitals, particularly at Queen’s Hospital. As well as being below average compared to other NHS trusts, our charges are less than other local car parks, making them a more attractive option.

This change will bring our costs in line with others while also keeping spaces free for those who really need them.
