Sahara A gets silver ward accreditation
Congratulations to Sahara A ward at Queen’s Hospital for attaining silver in our ward accreditation programme.
Ward accreditation is part of our ongoing efforts to improve and standardise the quality of care given to patients at our hospitals and sees wards assessed by corporate nurses and subject matter experts.
They provide a report that tells the ward what they're doing well and what needs to be better to reach the next level. This covers things like patient experience, safety, how staff are feeling, how efficiently the ward runs, and how well they're doing on equality, diversity and inclusion.
Sahara A is our 16th ward to attain silver. We also have one gold ward and 22 bronze wards.
Hayley Osbourne, Sahara A’s ward manager, said: “I just want say thank you to everybody on Sahara A for really working hard and really taking onboard all the feedback that we get.”
The team was really proud of their achievement and celebrated with lots of hugs and cheers!
