Congratulations to Gardenia Ward at King George Hospital, which has been awarded silver in our ward accreditation programme.

Ward accreditation is part of our ongoing efforts to improve and standardise the quality of care given to patients at our hospitals.

Wards are assessed by corporate nurses and subject matter experts. They provide a report that tells the ward what they're doing well and what needs to be better to reach the next level.

This covers patient experience, safety, how staff are feeling, how efficiently the ward runs, and how well they're doing on equality, diversity and inclusion.

Senior sister Ruhella Portion said:

I am very proud. I think getting recognised for your hard work is very important. It fills your team with motivation to move forward and to work hard to look after your patients. Everyone worked hard and we had each and every person working towards it.
