Ward accreditation is part of our efforts to improve and standardise the quality of care given to patients at our hospitals.

Wards are assessed by corporate nurses and subject matter experts. They provide a report that tells the ward what they're doing well and how they can reach the next level.

This covers patient experience, safety, how staff are feeling, how efficiently the ward runs, and how well they're doing on equality, diversity and inclusion.

Ward Sister, Kym Hernandez expressed her appreciation and thanked her team for all their hard work.

Kym said:

Having silver accreditation means our patients are safe and well looked after and we uphold a high standard of care. They are really, really tirelessly doing everything they can to improve the service of Cornflower B.
