Bluebell A achieves gold
A massive congratulations to Bluebell A at Queen’s Hospital, which achieved gold in our ward accreditation.
Ward accreditation is part of our ongoing efforts to improve and standardise the quality of care given to patients.
Wards are assessed by nurses and subject matter experts. They provide a report that tells the ward what they're doing well and what needs to be better to reach the levels of bronze, silver or gold.
This report covers things like patient experience, safety, how staff are feeling, how efficiently the ward runs and how well they are doing on equality, diversity and inclusion.
Bluebell A is the third ward to receive the gold accreditation and the first ward at Queen’s Hospital. They achieved an exceptional score of 98% overall.
Ward Manager, Philo Moses, expressed how hard her team has been working to meet patient’s needs and give them excellent care.
Philo said:
The patients are our utmost priority, making sure they’re comfortable and happy and then going the extra mile for them.
To be the very first ward in Queen’s to be awarded this speaks volumes. I’m so, so honoured.
