Abdul returns home after being treated for Covid-19

Mr Abdul Aziz

Abdul Aziz is one such patient. The 50-year-old came into King George Hospital last weekend, two weeks after finding out he had coronavirus.

Abdul said: “After testing positive, I was self-isolating at homes for two weeks but I started to feel unwell. My blood sugar levels were increasing and I was having problems with my asthma.

“I came to King George Hospital and my condition started to improve thanks to the treatment I received.”

That means that Abdul is being discharged today, five days since first attending King George Hospital.

He said: “I’m glad that I’m now well enough to be returning home to my children, wife, and family. I will have to self-isolate when I leave but it will be nice to get back to the comfort of my home.

“The nurses on Gentian ward have been fantastic. The service they provide is absolutely wonderful.”

We wish you well as you continue your recovery, Abdul!
