2022: Our year in numbers

Year in Numbers 2022

Year in Numbers 2022

As 2022 comes to an end, we’re shining a light on some of our achievements throughout the year, which has seen our staff deliver impressive numbers, as we continue to care for our residents and colleagues.

We’ve continuing to cut our waiting lists by holding several innovative ‘super’ clinics and additional appointments. We carried out more than 126,000 CT and MRI scans, our ‘super’ clinics treated 3,395 people and we operated on 7,658 patients in our Surgical Hub at King George Hospital.

Covid-19 is still with us and we have given over 32,000 Covid jabs this year in our vaccination hub, as we continue to protect ourselves and carry on with everyday life.

We were able to recognise the hard work of our staff during the pandemic and said thank you with two days of fantastic events, from afternoon tea to a family fun day.

Our brilliant staff are our biggest asset, and our focus continues to be their wellbeing. The cost of living is having an impact and our initiatives, such as marketplaces, school uniform vouchers and free period products, have supported more than a thousand members of staff.

Our five staff networks are also supporting our workforce; they held 48 meetings throughout the year, attended by 1,213 people.

2022 saw us grow our workforce with 358 additional permanent staff and we’re looking forward to going into a new year together, with new achievements.
