Your GP may not be open over the bank holiday weekend, but please help us to focus on our sickest patients by only coming to the Emergency Department (ED) in a real emergency.

If you need to see a doctor, urgent, same-day appointments are available via our GP hubs. They’ll be operating from 8am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday, and from 12noon to 4pm on bank holiday Monday (May 1).

You just need to be registered with a GP in Havering, Barking and Dagenham or Redbridge.

To make an appointment call 020 3770 1888 or NHS 111.

Remember that many common illnesses like coughs or colds can be treated by visiting your local pharmacist.

For a list of pharmacies open in your area on bank holiday Monday, see below:

The ED is for emergencies only, such as choking, chest pain, blood loss or blacking out. Most people can get the care they need more quickly and conveniently in the community.
