Temporary entrance to our Emergency Department at King George Hospital

As part of our improvements to urgent and emergency care at King George Hospital, there will be a new temporary entrance to our Emergency Department from today (Wednesday 23 May).
This can be accessed just a little further down from where the current entrance is, just past where ambulances enter the department, please see our map (above).
The temporary entrance will be in use for approximately seven weeks, allowing us to redesign and refurbish our department to ensure we can get our patients the care they need, in the right place, as quickly as possible.
We’re creating a more integrated department which will improve how our patients move through it, making it more efficient and helping to reduce waiting times.
We apologise for any inconvenience while this work is carried out.
