A charity gold day is taking place on Friday (16 June), which will raise funds for the King George and Queen’s Hospitals Charity.

Anyone is welcome to come along and tee off – you get a full day of golf, a bacon roll and a hot drink on arrival, and a carvery lunch for just £45 per person.

It will be held at Stapleford Abbots Golf Club, Romford and has been organised by Graeme Aitken, our speciality matron for surgery.

Graeme said: “It would be good to get as many people along as possible. Come and have a craic and support a great cause.”

All funds raised will go towards creating a relatives’ room for our Ocean wards at Queen’s Hospital.

If you’re not a golfer, you can still support this great cause by joining our evening do, with drinks, music and dancing, at the course’s clubhouse. Golfers attend free and it costs just £10 a ticket for non-golfers, 7.30pm to midnight.

To find out more, or book your place, contact Graeme on 01708 435 000 extension 6112.
