Enforcement camera at Queen's Hospital

Latest news icon

For some time now our patients and visitors have been accessing our oncology car park and Emergency Department (ED) drop off zone at Queen’s Hospital via Oldchurch Road. This goes against regulations agreed as part of the planning process to keep traffic flowing in the surrounding area.

To ensure the traffic flows correctly, Havering Council is putting in a camera at the entrance to the oncology car park and ambulance drop off. The camera recognises number plates and fines will be issued once it goes live.

So please make sure you use the roads correctly and access our oncology car park and our ED via Rom Valley Way, not Oldchurch Road.

The Council will put in road markings this Friday (5 August) from 10pm to 1am so in particular, please remember this if you need to drop a friend or family member off at ED as traffic will be diverted during the works.

We have been liaising closely with the London Ambulance Service, the East of England Ambulance Service and TfL to ensure no disruption to our patients and visitors.

We will update you once we know when the camera will go live.
