We have fully equipped photographic studios at both King George and Queen’s hospitals. Our services include clinical photography, ophthalmic photography, clinical video recording and editing, specimen photography, medico-legal photography, publicity and illustrative work, reprographics, poster production, printing and laminating.

Preparing for your appointment

If your doctor has asked you to attend our department for clinical photography, they will also have asked you to sign a consent form prior to arriving. Your doctor may also want to use your images for teaching or publication purposes. You will be informed of this at the time of your consultation and, if you agree, you will be asked to sign another consent form allowing this.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to make an appointment?

Ideally we prefer patients to make an appointment with us but if your doctor sends you to us after your clinic appointment, we will endeavour to photograph you as soon as we can.

How long will my photographic session last?

Between five and 30 minutes

What happens to my photographs?

They will be sent to your doctor and filed in your medical records
