The Consultant team care for patients during their stay in hospital and run daily outpatient clinics. Outpatient clinics are held both in person and on the phone (where appropriate).
Before attending your outpatient clinic appointment ensure you have had a blood test in the last 6 weeks (if required). Please discuss with your GP if you are unsure.
The Endocrine Nursing team run daily outpatient clinics at King George Hospital conducting a wide range of blood and dynamic function tests. There are daily phone clinics to notify patients after their tests of the results and any necessary treatment changes.
The Diabetes Nursing team provides care and support for inpatients, both those known to have diabetes and those newly diagnoses. Following your discharge from hospital your diabetes care will be provided by your GP and if required the community diabetes nurses in your area.
