Jeremy Hunt

Jeremy Hunt, the Secretary of State for Health, paid a visit to Queen’s Hospital yesterday (Thursday 23 June), where he met with staff from both our hospitals and praised them for their hard work to bring about improvements.

He spent time talking to a range of our staff to find out about the improvement journey they have been on and was also given a tour of our Radiotherapy department where Head of Radiotherapy, Stuart McCaighy, showed him some of the technology used to diagnose and treat our patients.

And a visit to Queen’s Hospital wouldn’t be complete without a trip to our fruit stall, where the Secretary of State picked up some healthy snacks before he was on his way.
